The history of false flag operations

These are a very specific aspect of conspiracy theories that are rising to prominence with the stories circulating about the London Olympics. Back in the 1950's the United States was in a rapidly escalating cold war with the Soviet Union that was rapidly heading towards becoming a hot war, and the biggest thorn in the American side was a little island off the coast called Cuba. Cuba was a Communist country and Fidel Castro the revolutionary leader of Cuba from 1959 was in close communication with Russia over plans to station Russian nuclear weapons on Cuba, well within striking distance of anywhere in the United States. This was the Cuban Missile crisis and its history is well known. What is less well known and certainly less well recorded is that the US in the form of the CIA had developed a plan to create an excuse to invade Cuba and replace the Castro Communist government with a pro American democratic leadership. This plan was codenamed Operation Northwoods, and essentially the plan was to stage the hijacking of a commercial airline flight, as well as create a terror campaign of bombings in Florida, and across the states. These acts would be carried out be pro American Cubans and plausibly blamed on Communist assets, this creating an atmosphere in which Cuba could be invaded.

This early proposal of a false flag operation in 1962 was not carried out but the principle was established and has been suggested as the backbone of subsequent apparent terrorist operations including the September 11th 2001 hijackings in America and the July 7th tube bombings in London. The key reason that these are considered false flag operations is that they precipitated engagements in key Middle East arenas, and fostered an atmosphere of support for otherwise unpopular military actions. It has also been suggested that the fact that Osama Bin Laden the supposed head of Al Qaeda was trained in America as a CIA asset in the Afghan war against Russia in the 1980's lends credence to the false flag claim, and lessens the likelihood that these were genuine terrorist operations. So we can see that the idea of false flag operations was a serious consideration from the late '50's and early '60's and it seems plausible that the strategy has been used ay least once, possibly more than once, so where does this bring us to?

The hot story around the London Olympics is that as a huge media event, one of the biggest in the World there is a tremendous opportunity for a false flag operation on a colossal scale. There are two current theories that are gaining almost mainstream attention. The first is that there is a plan for a large scale terrorist style attack during the games, utilising existing security agency backed sleeper cells. The second is to use a secret projection technology operated by the CIA to create the appearance of extra terrestrial contact, utilising the presence of global media to rapidly disseminate the story in a totally believable way to a global audience. The likely aim is to begin the rapid process of creating a global police state, a single global government, a totalitarian regime to protect humanity from the aliens or from itself. We will just have to wait and see.
