The real reason for the shift to digital TV

From the point of view of a ruling elite that is attempting to influence the way that the population things and acts, the development of digital broadcast technology is a key step in that process. I'm sure you have already noticed how every film you watch these days has computer generated special effects, and that when older films are digitally remastered complete new scenes are added or endings changed without a need to actually film new footage. The same is true of television broadcasts. Without the need to physically edit rolls of film it is possible to rapidly edit even programs being broadcast live. Over the recent European Football Championships the organising body UEFA was caught inserting pre-recorded images into live matches seamlessly, and it was only because the information was leaked to the press that this was revealed. It was impossible to spot the insertion for the viewer. In a similar vein, have you noticed that in generally sporting events are looking more and more like computer games with instant super slow-motion replay and artificially created camera angles.

The point of this is that with the development of this technology it becomes increasingly difficult to discern what is reality and what is created. This presents a very tempting situation to anyone looking to exert influence over the viewing public. One of the first steps in control is to create a dissociation between reality and fantasy. This is a similar process to sleep deprivation and psychoactive chemicals, techniques that have been shown to prepare the mind for further programming and control. Sleep deprivation blurs the line between dreams and reality, and psycho-actives create a condition known as a dissociative break in the psyche. By creating films and television, the key route into the awareness of the vast majority of the population, a similar break can be created. As a population, we are used to being able to believe the truth of our own senses, and particularly vision. It is the basis for the use of visual identification in criminal cases, and if we can't believe our own eyes what can we believe?

So if the sports programmes we watch can be manipulated so easily to create an illusion, what else can be modified in this way? How about news reports? Imagine that the news reports you watch every evening are created to trigger certain responses in your psyche. Or that fake news events were indistinguishable from real ones? This is the culmination of a research programme that began with an accidental discovery. You may have read about the effect of a radio broadcast of the H.G. Wells story War of the Worlds by Orson Wells of 30th October 1938, and the panic this caused across America, with families leaving their homes and mass panic in the streets. This wasn't, as some people claimed, a planned experiment, but it did create an understanding of the potential power of the media to control populations. Now, consider the event that is about to happen in London, England in two weeks time. The projected global audience for the 2012 Olympics is estimated at five billion people, or three quarters of the global population, the highest proportion of the population ever for a televised event. What better platform to create the ultimate illusion, and thereby to prepare the vast majority of the global population for what is coming next.

What that will be is a subject for debate, some saying it will be a false flag alien invasion, some claiming a faked terrorist incident, but what if the plan was not to create something obvious, but simply to create this dissociative split in preparation for something more insidious in the future? We could end up being controlled without ever knowing anything about it. Enjoy the games.
