Since
the beginning of the 20th Century there has been a global
agreement in place to maintain a veil of secrecy around the
visitation of the Earth by extra-terrestrials. The first overt
contact by extra-terrestrials in the modern era was in 1892 to the
French scientist Henri Becquerel. He had recently taken the physics
chair of the French Natural History Museum and was studying
phosphorescence in Uranium salts when he was approached ostensibly by
agents of the French Government who provided him with research based
on Wilhelm Rontgens work on X-Rays. Becquerel, on questioning the
source of the research was given information relating to a planned
large scale contact scenario. Becquerel was an acquaintance H. G.
Wells the British Author, through mutual friend Jules Verne, and
after a series of meetings organised by Becquerel it was decided to
delay global contact until Wells could arrange a large scale
investigation of societies response to alien contact. From these
meetings Wells worked with the aliens to write “War of the Worlds”
published in 1898. The response of the public was extreme fear, and
as a direct consequence the planned contact was delayed.
The
decision was taken to begin a process of preparation of the human
race for alien contact and Wells was given access to highly advanced
material and information. Through his scientific contacts across
Europe and America Wells acted as a catalyst and central hub passing
information to key institutions and individuals. One example of this
was his work with Francis Galton, the co-founder of Eugenics. Galton
was provided with evidence of the genetic manipulation of the human
race in pre-history and used this as the basis of his presentations
and ideas on population improvement, work that was later used by Nazi
Germany during World War II. It is interesting to note that it was
also Nazi Scientists who made tremendous progress in the development
of rocketry, nuclear weapons, jet propulsion and anti-gravity
technology. Given Wells personal animosity towards Zionism and his
preference for highly organised state authority it is hardly
surprising that he initially presented large portions of his Alien
derived information to German scientists and industrialists, but in
keeping with his pragmatic approach to utopianism he understood that
there was no guarantee of a Nazi victory and ensured that information
was also available to Russian, UK and US scientists. He also laid the
groundwork for operation Paperclip, the allied removal of key
scientists from Nazi Germany in the event of Germanys defeat.
During
the first fifty years on the 20th Century several key
events in the preparation for first global contact were implemented.
Key to these were the radio broadcast of War of the Worlds by Orson
Wells on 30th October 1938, the use of the V weapons by
Germany in the later years of the War, the sightings of “Foo
Fighters” by pilots on raids over Germany, and the dropping of
atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the first time weapons of
such destruction has ever been unleashed. Throughout this period it
was clear that the human race was not ready for contact and that
further preparation work was needed. A core group of scientific
writers was drawn together, including Sir Patrick Moore, Arthur C
Clarke and others. These writers were given access to the alien
information and charged with the task of producing scientifically
credible science fiction. This they duly did. Events were set up for
the purposes of introducing the idea of aliens to the mainstream
media, events such as Roswell, the sightings of UFO over Washington
DC, the Rendelsham Forest incident in the UK and sightings across
Russia. Gradually people are becoming conditioned to the idea that
aliens exist, and that contact is not merely possible, but highly
probably. The time allocated for our preparation is almost up, and
whether we are ready or not, we are about to get a major wake up
call.
